Data Source And Ownership

• All mapped reports come from public Reddit comments.
• I do not create or own incident data.
• I only process and visualize already-public comments.

How Scoring Works (Simple Rules)

The system looks for basic signals in comments and adds them together:

• Alert words like boom, bang, blast, siren.
• Known Dubai area/neighbourhood mentioned near those words.
• Post engagement such as upvotes.
• Reply patterns that support or contradict the report.

Only reports above a specific score are shown on the map.

Filtering And Limitations

• Filtering is rudimentary and rule-based, not human verification.
• Sarcasm, jokes, rumors, or coordinated posting can mislead the score.
• A high score does not prove an event happened.
• A low score does not prove nothing happened.

What Grey Markers Mean

Muted grey markers are reports that were contradicted by replies. They are shown for transparency and context, not as verified facts.

What This Tool Does Not Do

• Does not verify incidents.
• Does not access police, military, or government systems.
• Does not monitor official channels.

Is this official? No.

Can I use this for emergency decisions? No. ALWAYS double-check with OFFICIAL UAE sources (Dubai Police, Dubai Media Office, UAE NCEMA).
